You can submit your sequence/molecular data to NCBI early and  keep your records private. Early submission allows database staff to process your records on time. That way, the records will be ready when you need them publicly released. 

While submitting your data, most of the submission tools will allow you to chose between:

 (1) immediate release 

 (2) setting your own future release date

Otherwise, communicate your preferences to the database staff.
