How do I fix an error message after uploading my XML file to SciENcv
SciENcv allows you to upload your Current & pending (Other) Support documents structured as an XML file. Upon uploading your file, the system validates its format and element order. If there is a problem, one of the following error messages may appear:
Incorrect Element Order
This message indicates that the file has an element which appears in the wrong order. In this case, <awardamount>.
This message indicates that your file does not include the required contribution type which is either “award” or “inkind”.
Unsupported Special Characters
This message indicates that the system found an issue that doesn't fall into one of the specific categories listed above. Confirm that your file is a well-formed XML and that all required fields are included.
Invalid XML File
This message indicates that the system found an issue that doesn't fall into one of the specific categories listed above. Confirm that your file is a well-formed XML and that all required fields are included.
