Why do I see only 100 sequences in my BLAST search results even though I changed Max target sequences to 500 prior to my search?

Selecting the maximum number of sequences to be displayed in BLAST® search results is a two-step process:

Before the search, select the Max target sequences number from the pull-down menu under General Algorithm Parameters located under the BLAST button on the BLAST search input pages.
After the search completes, use the Formatting options (the link is located at the top of the search results page) to limit Descriptions and/or Graphical overview to the desired number. For Alignments, you have to scroll down near the bottom of the page to continue to load more alignments.
