  • I have not been part of any scoliosis brace study, but I have been wearing one since Oct of 2017. Now at age 79, after fusion of 5 vertebrae in the lower back, exercises, P.T., using a cane and/or walker, I was very glad to see and use the brace. It does help greatly with my posture and ability to be more active. I do take pain meds  so that is harder to measure the results. However I have a great complaint...it does not wear well. When I started wearing it I thought the Chiropractor who proscribed it said I would be able to replace in a year. But, now I am told it would be only in three years.  The brace frays quite a bit, but my biggest complaint is that the screws keep falling out. i find them all over. I did return to the Dr. for repair, but it just keeps happening.  Is this poor manufacturer or what?  Even tho I tighten them, they continue to fall out. Any suggestions or help?
