A LIBID (Library ID) is a unique 6-letter code that identifies institutions in the National Library of Medicine's DOCLINE system.  A LIBID is required to place interlibrary loan requests with the National Library of Medicine (NLM).

If you have never placed interlibrary loan requests with NLM before and would like to learn more about doing so see the Interlibrary Loan page.

If you have forgotten your LIBID or are unsure whether your library has one, please use our contact form to inquire about your LIBID.

  • Dear DOCLINE team,

I recently started my position as Library Manager at the San Francisco C.G. Jung institute. It seems like our library is already in DOCLINE, but I cannot find any LIBID among the documents I have. I would like to connect a google account to it, so I can make sure our user account is working.

    Best,

    Miranda
